A proposed upgrade of Federal Route 21 from two lanes to four lanes between Serian, Tebedu and the Indonesian border. JKR Sarawak describes a 42 km road scope, while November 2025 parliamentary reporting describes about 48 km and 10 new bridges; its preliminary estimate is above RM500 million and may reach RM1 billion, subject to finalisation after preliminary work.

A proposed regional aviation and logistics hub at Tanjung Embang. The project had an approximate RM10 billion estimate in 2025 and is intended to strengthen Sarawak's air connectivity, freight capacity and regional links.

The RM30 million first phase of the Special Needs Community Centre in Samarahan will bring early intervention, vocational training, therapy and trainee accommodation into one integrated facility. It is designed to support persons with disabilities from childhood through skills development, employment readiness and long-term care.

A proposed marine and energy infrastructure project within the integrated Tanjung Embang development, with an estimated cost of RM25 billion to RM30 billion. It combines a deep-sea port and gas terminal intended to support maritime logistics, gas exports and regional trade.

A 1,285MW hydroelectric dam on the Baleh River in Kapit, developed by Sarawak Energy. A 2017 construction estimate placed the cost at about RM8 billion, including financing, to add renewable generation and strengthen the state grid.

A RM184 million, 50MW hydro-solar hybrid floating farm on the Batang Ai HEP reservoir, developed by Sarawak Energy with China Power International Holdings and Trina Solar. It adds renewable electricity generation by combining floating solar with hydropower infrastructure.

A Bintulu research and development plant for cultivating and harvesting microalgae and extracting crude algae oil for sustainable aviation fuel. SEDC Energy and PETRONAS Research are joint technology-development parties; larger cultivation and a later commercial plant remain subject to scale-up and commercial viability.

A state ordinance for regulating and managing greenhouse gas emissions. It requires scheduled sectors to register and submit annual emissions reports supported by accredited external auditors, strengthening Sarawak's climate governance and emissions accountability.

A Phase 2 carbon capture and storage development associated with PETRONAS' offshore Kasawari Field. A 2022 estimate placed the project at RM4.5 billion for a dedicated CCS platform and its connection to the Phase 1 central processing platform.

A 3,000-acre green-technology development near Demak Laut and Senari, combining solar generation, battery storage and AI-ready data centres. Phase 1 covers 300 acres and a 100MWac facility under a RM328 million EPCC contract, supporting Sarawak's digital and clean-energy infrastructure.

A dredging and training-bund project at Kuala Baram to deepen and stabilise the access channel to Miri Port. The RM238 million contract supports safer, more reliable maritime access for the port.

A hydrogen-powered Autonomous Rapid Transit public transport system for Kuching. Phase 1 covers the Blue, Red and Green lines and has a RM6 billion state allocation, intended to improve urban mobility and connectivity.

A RM30 million initial project at Lubok Punggor, Gedong, covering irrigation infrastructure for 54.4 hectares of paddy fields. Its AgriHub scope includes irrigation and drainage upgrades, a water reservoir, warehouse and machinery workshop to support modern paddy production.

The Marudi Forest Conservation and Restoration Project is a 25,675-hectare peat-swamp conservation and restoration initiative in Marudi. Managed by SaraCarbon Sdn Bhd, it aims to protect forest carbon stocks and generate tradeable carbon credits under Sarawak's carbon framework.

A US$2.6 billion, 1,375MW hydropower project in North Kalimantan developed by PT Kayan Hydropower Nusantara, a joint venture involving Sarawak Energy, Adaro Energy Indonesia and Kayan Patria Pratama. It is intended to support regional power supply and cross-border energy development.

The RM2 billion Miri Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Power Plant is a 500MW generation facility at Jalan Pantai, Lutong. Developed by Petroleum Sarawak Berhad, it is intended to strengthen the reliability and efficiency of Sarawak's electricity supply.

OSEIC Miri is an early-intervention centre in Tudan for children under seven with special needs. Supported by RM5.743 million in government development grants, it will provide diagnosis, assessment and tailored intervention closer to families in northern Sarawak.

A statewide programme for paddy irrigation, drainage and farm roads, backed by a RM1 billion allocation. It is intended to strengthen rice production and support Sarawak's food security and rice self-sufficiency.

A 786 km dual-carriageway highway from Telok Melano to Miri, delivered through 11 work packages at a RM16.5 billion construction cost. It is intended to improve road connectivity across Sarawak and link communities, towns and economic centres.

A RM30 million marine ecotourism and conservation facility at Piasau Nature Reserve in Miri. It combines an interpretation centre and offices supporting the Miri-Sibuti Coral Reefs and Luconia Shoal national parks, connecting visitors with marine conservation.

The Rambungan Sustainable Shrimp Aquaculture Project is a 297-hectare ESG-oriented farming initiative at Loba Stoh, Rambungan. Led by Rambungan Aqua Life Sdn Bhd, it uses modern aquaculture practices to grow premium shrimp for domestic and export markets.

A pilot renewable-energy project in Kampung Tabo and Kampung Teh, Mukah, that converts sago-processing wastewater into biogas for nearby homes and public facilities. Led by CRAUN Research, it combines waste treatment with a local gas distribution network.

Technology-based agriculture sites at Semenggok and Tarat, including a coral-shrimp farm at SARTECH Tarat. Budget 2026 allocates RM19.5 million for further development of both sites to support agricultural innovation and commercialisation.

A 100-acre, four-phase bioindustrial hub in Kota Samarahan for bio-commercialisation. Budget 2026 provides a joint RM10 million allocation for the park and the SBC Bioprocess Commercial Centre, supporting facilities for turning biodiversity research into commercial applications.

A planned specialist cancer centre in Kota Samarahan with a preliminary project estimate of RM1.52 billion. It is intended to expand access to dedicated cancer care in Sarawak.

An economic corridor linking the Samalaju, Tanjung Manis, Mukah, Baram and Tunoh growth nodes. With RM125 billion in cumulative investment, SCORE supports industrial development and rural and interior delivery through RECODA, URDA, HDA and NRDA.

The Sarawak Infectious Disease Centre is developing a One Health research campus beside the Sarawak Heart Centre in Samarahan. Its laboratories and supporting facilities are designed for disease surveillance, diagnostics, vaccine research and Biosafety Level 3 work.

A statewide marine-conservation programme led by Sarawak Forestry Corporation that deploys artificial reef balls from Tanjung Datu to Lawas to restore habitats, protect fishing grounds and support coastal livelihoods. Phase I received RM70 million and Phase II RM30 million, bringing the combined public allocation for both phases to RM100 million.

A navigation safety and monitoring system covering the Sarawak River and the related Miri River scope. The RM30 million value covers only the first-phase Vessel Traffic Management System at Senari on the Sarawak River, supporting safer river navigation.

A two-phase road link connecting Sarawak and Sabah without transit through Brunei. The RM7.6 billion value applies to Phase 2 only; together, the phases are intended to improve rural and interior connectivity.

A proposed cross-border electricity link to export around 1GW of renewable power from Sarawak to Singapore. It is intended to support regional energy trade and connect Sarawak's renewable resources with Singapore's electricity market.

A three-stage ecotourism and biodiversity-research development in Semenggoh Nature Reserve, covering the Wildlife Centre entrance, visitor facilities, botanical gardens and research infrastructure. It has a RM30 million allocation to strengthen conservation, visitor access and research.

A statewide rural-connectivity programme that deploys carrier-neutral SMART600 towers and enables MySRBN home broadband for underserved communities. SMA owns the programme and SDEC leads implementation, with MCMC and mobile operators supporting service operations.

A commercial-agriculture development in Sungai Baji, Sarikei. Planned state funding totals RM180 million, comprising RM29 million approved under RMK-12 and an estimated RM151 million for the remaining area, to support agricultural production and investment.

A state-backed international secondary school expansion intended to improve access to international-syllabus education for rural and low-income students. Based on the 2022 estimate of RM40 million to RM45 million per school, the remaining three-school expansion has a derived estimate of RM120 million to RM135 million.

Bako National Park is a 2,727-hectare protected area near Kuching with sandstone plateau and kerangas forest. Its ASEAN Heritage Park status recognises habitat for proboscis monkeys, migratory species and other threatened fauna of regional conservation importance.

The transfer of Bintulu Port to Sarawak control under MA63, with a RM1.8 billion valuation. The port is central to LNG exports and the SCORE corridor, supporting Sarawak's industrial and trade role.

Industrial microalgae production and carbon capture facility at Sarawak Energy's Sejingkat coal-fired power plant. The five-hectare C4 Sarawak facility received over USD18.3 million in Japanese government funding and uses flue gas to cultivate microalgae for biomass and carbon capture.

Lambir Hills National Park near Miri protects rainforest with exceptional tree diversity, rugged terrain, escarpments and waterfalls. Its ASEAN Heritage Park status recognises the park as an Important Bird Area and a global centre of plant diversity and endemism.

A UNESCO World Heritage property in Niah National Park centred on a caves complex that preserves at least 50,000 years of human interaction with rainforest environments. It safeguards evidence of a long human and environmental history in Sarawak.

A 3,112 km² UNESCO Global Geopark across Kuching, Santubong and Bako, recognised for its geological significance. Known as Borneo's Cradle of Origin, it supports conservation, education and geotourism around Sarawak's natural heritage.

SSCiEX is a five-storey science centre on Jalan Stadium in Kuching, with 22 thematic galleries and more than 400 hands-on exhibits. It gives students, families and the wider community an immersive place to explore science, technology and innovation.

A 60MW/82MWh battery energy storage system at Sejingkat Power Plant in Kuching, housed in 22 containers. Sarawak Energy invested RM128 million in the facility to provide grid reserve, regulation and peak-demand support.
